Added Value
Loyal clients who rave and recommend your company to others…
every businesswoman wishes she had such clients. You can make this happen by adding value to your product or service. Thus your business will thrive and stand out from the competition.
For example, make your business environment look, feel and sound attractive. This is what UnitedSucces member Philippa (Pippa) Pepera from Ghana has done. She founded and runs fitness centres. Pippa guarantees her clients clean water and electricity, even if the public service falters. She made sure she had a borehole drilled and an independent generator installed so that her clients always have these essential services. Cleanliness is top priority in her fitness centres. And to differentiate her venues from an ordinary hotel spa, she has decorated her fitness centres with magnificent pieces of African art. She also travels to all her gyms and walks around and personally greets her clients. All in all, Pippa has created an ideal environment to exceed her clients’ expectations.
Personalised service – know your clients and their little quirks – is an obvious way of adding value. But you can also customise your product or service. If it is possible, create a ‘one of a kind’ product or service for your clients. Accept smaller, exclusive orders. Or have your clients pay only for what they want, rather than for a whole package of superfluous things. Adapt operating hours to accommodate clients. And how about moving to a location that is better for them? There are several innovative ideas that add value to ensure you retain business. It is relatively easy to get business – holding onto it is the real challenge.
